CulinaTech App Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 28, 2026

This policy applies to the CulinaTech mobile application published by Foneric Technology Co.,Ltd. (the “App”), including iOS bundle com.foneric.CulinaTech and Android package com.foneric.mofweb4. It does not replace the separate policy for purchases made on the CulinaTech website.

Data the App handles

  • Account and profile data: email address, display name, account identifier, authentication provider, and authentication/session records. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are not stored by us in readable form.
  • CulinaMeter device data: booster identifier and name, device binding, firmware information, connection state, assigned server region, probe status, battery level, and signal information.
  • Cooking data: selected meat or custom preset, target temperature, probe, temperature readings and history, start/end times, active-cook state, and alarm state. Signed-in users can sync this data between their devices.
  • Notification data: push-notification token, platform, language, and recent app heartbeat used to deliver device-sync and cooking alarms without sending duplicate alerts.
  • Network and permission data: the App uses Bluetooth, nearby-device, local network, and—on older Android versions—location permissions to discover and connect to CulinaMeter hardware and nearby Wi-Fi networks. The App does not use these permissions to track physical location. A Wi-Fi name and password selected during setup are sent locally from the phone to the nearby booster; they are not stored in the CulinaTech account cloud. Our servers and service providers may receive ordinary connection information such as IP address and timestamps for delivery, reliability, and security.
  • Optional support data: when a user chooses Report a Bug, the App sends the entered description and device diagnostics. The user can also choose to include a recent app log, contact email, and screenshot. The form makes these items visible before submission.

Why we use this data

We use data only to provide and secure the App: authenticate users, connect and manage CulinaMeter devices, sync device and cooking state, deliver alarms and notifications, diagnose failures, respond to support requests, prevent abuse, and maintain service reliability.

The App contains no advertising SDK and does not sell personal data. We do not use App data for cross-app tracking, third-party advertising, or marketing profiling.

Service providers and disclosure

We use service providers only where needed to operate the App:

  • Supabase provides authentication, database, file storage, and related cloud infrastructure.
  • Google Firebase Cloud Messaging and Apple Push Notification service deliver notifications.
  • Google and Apple process sign-in when the user selects their sign-in option.
  • CulinaTech-operated regional MQTT servers relay authorized device state.

These providers may process data for us under their own security and privacy terms. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards. We do not share App data with data brokers or advertising networks.

Retention and deletion

Account, device, session, push-token, active-cook, and synchronized cook-history records are kept while needed to provide the account and are deleted when the user deletes the account, subject to limited legal, fraud-prevention, security, and disaster-recovery retention. Deleted cook-history entries may temporarily remain as empty synchronization tombstones until the account is deleted.

Optional support and bug reports are kept separately for troubleshooting and service-quality records until resolved or no longer needed. Deleting an account removes the account link from an existing support report, but a report’s text, optional contact email, log, or screenshot may remain. The user can ask us to delete a support report at any time by emailing info@culina.tech and providing the report ID or contact email used.

Users can delete an account inside the App under Settings → Account → Delete Account. An external deletion route and details are available at https://culina.tech/pages/culinatech-app-account-deletion.

Security and international processing

We use encrypted network connections, access controls, and per-account database rules. No system is completely secure, so users should protect their account and device access. To provide regional connectivity and cloud services, data may be processed in countries other than the user’s own, with safeguards appropriate to the service and applicable law.

Children

The App is a cooking-device utility and is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum digital-consent age in their jurisdiction. If we learn that a child provided personal data without required consent, we will delete it.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy when App features or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the latest version. Questions, access or correction requests, and deletion requests can be sent to:
